This year marks the 31st anniversary of the American Advertising Federation-Greater Frederick (AAF-GF) American Advertising Awards and its first ever virtual gala, held Saturday, February 20, 2021. While we weren’t able to be together, thanks to this year’s Awards Chair, production team, and Zoom, we were still able to come together and celebrate creative excellence in advertising. The AAF-GF put on quite an entertaining 80’s themed show—Let’s Get Digital—filled with lots of laughter and good times. It was such a treat to see so many of our creative peers and honor their achievements.

I’m thrilled to share that Lisa Gorham Creative was honored with a Silver ADDY Award for Queue™ Aligners in the category of Integrated Brand Identity Campaign, done for Toothman Orthodontics. Thank you to this year’s Awards judging panel for this tremendous recognition, it’s an honor to receive this award on behalf of such a great client. And a special thank you goes to an amazing team of people whose creativity and hard work made every aspect of the Queue™ Aligners branding and packaging work such a success: DB Cooper, brand naming and tagline copywriting; The YGS Group, packaging development, printing, and production; Taylor Box Company, box manufacturing; and Apex Advertising, printing.

The American Advertising Federation’s American Advertising Awards is one of the industry’s largest creative competitions, attracting nearly 35,000 professional and student entries each year through local club competitions. The mission of the American Advertising Awards is to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in advertising. The AAF-Greater Frederick’s American Advertising Awards is the first step in the three-tiered competition. Winning entries move on to compete at the Regional level—competing against New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, and Washington DC agencies, firms, and studios. Winning work from the second tier of the competition then move on to compete at the National level.
